Russian, Turkish forces conduct joint patrol of Aleppo-Latakia highway - Russian Center for Reconciliation

MOSCOW. April 28 (Interfax) - Russian and Turkish forces have carried out their sixth joint patrol mission in Syria's Idlib de-escalation area, the Russian military said on Tuesday.

"The latest, sixth, joint Russian-Turkish patrol was conducted on April 28 in the Idlib de-escalation area along the M4 highway, which connects the cities of Aleppo and Latakia," the Russian Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria said.

Two BTR-82A armored personnel carriers and a Tigr armored vehicle took part in the patrol, it said.

"Unmanned aerial vehicles of the Aerospace Forces of Russia monitored the movement of the joint Russian-Turkish convoy from the air. Interaction between the sides was organized through the Joint Coordination Center," the Russian military said.
