Over 400,000 square meters of Russian Southern Military District's training ranges to be disinfected by late May

ROSTOV-ON-DON. April 29 (Interfax) - Radiation, chemical and biological protection teams of the 49th All-Arms Army of Russia's Southern Military District are sanitizing and preparing Nikolo-Alexandrovsky, Maikopsky, Kobu-Bashi and Molkino training ranges for the new training season, the district press service said in a statement.

"More than 400,000 square meters of space will be sanitized by the end of May. Over 300 servicemen of radiation, chemical and biological protection military units and formations, and about 40 special vehicles have been tasked with disinfection. Over 70 tonnes of disinfectants are expected to be spent," the statement said.

All buildings, training facilities and systems will be disinfected at the training ranges. Preparations also include a complete clearance of dud munitions and installation of targets, communication lines, and other elements of training infrastructure.
