Russian military specialists disinfect psychiatric clinic in Serbia

MOSCOW. May 7 (Interfax) - Russian military specialists sent to Serbia to help counter the spread of Covid-19 have disinfected a psychiatric hospital in Kovin, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

Russian specialists have already carried out disinfection at 164 facilities in Serbia.

"Specialists of the Russian Defense Ministry's combined radiation, chemical, and biological protection unit helping the Republic of Serbia fight the coronavirus infection conducted preventive disinfection of a psychiatric center located in the town of Kovin," the ministry said.

Meanwhile, Russian medics, for their part, offered anti-epidemic advice to the staff of this center and other healthcare establishments in six towns of Serbia, it said. Russian-Serbian radiation, chemical, and biological protection units disinfected 20 facilities in four towns of the country in the past 24 hours.

"In all, the Russian combined unit working in the Republic of Serbia has taken disinfection measures at 164 facilities in 35 towns of the republic, including at more than 362 buildings and other constructions [...] Military doctors have examined and helped treat more than 806 patients infected with Covid-19," the ministry said.
