MOSCOW. May 18 (Interfax) - Russian troops disinfected facilities in over than 40 populated localities in Serbia in one in a half month, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
"Over the period from April 4 to May 16, 2020, experts of the Russian Defense Ministry's Radiological, Chemical, and Biological Protection Troops, alongside Serbian servicemen, fully disinfected medical establishments and facilities of a social importance in over 40 populated localities in Serbia. A total of 376 buildings and facilities, over 1,685,000 square meters of indoor premises, about 500,000 square meters of solid-surfacing roads were disinfected," the ministry said.
Russian medics and nurses took part in examining and treating 881 coronavirus patients, it said. Additionally, Russian experts gave recommendations on counter-epidemic measures in medical facilities in over 30 Serbian cities.
It was reported earlier that the first plane carrying Russian experts from Belgrade had landed in Russia. Three planes carrying over 40 servicemen and four items of hardware departed from Serbia to Moscow on May 16.
