MOSCOW. June 26 (Interfax) - Moscow will thoroughly consider Caracas's proposals regarding dates for Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro to visit Russia, Director of the Russian Foreign Ministry's Latin America Department Alexander Shchetinin told Interfax on Friday.
"Mr. Maduro has been invited to visit Russia; this is an open-ended invitation, and obviously, if any concrete proposals regarding dates are made, they will be considered very thoroughly and attentively, just like any other request of the sort," Shchetinin said, replying to a question from Interfax.
Venezuelan Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza on Thursday did not rule out that Maduro might visit Russia shortly.
