United Shipbuilding Corporation institutes position of general director instead of president

MOSCOW. June 29 (Interfax) - The United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) has amended its statutes to institute the position of general director, rather than that of president, USC General Director Alexei Rakhmanov told journalists.

"It's now the fifth day that I've been not USC president, but only general director, as the relevant amendments have been made to the statute and have taken effect," Rakhmanov said during an online press conference held by Interfax.

"This amendment is important for us and will lead to changes to our organizational structure in the future," he said.

"Why have we done this? The answer is very simple: there is only one president in this country, and we all know him," Rakhmanov said.
