Russian Defense Ministry receives 58 planes and helicopters this year - Defense Minister Shoigu

MOSCOW. June 30 (Interfax) - The Russian Armed Forces have received 776 pieces of military hardware, including 58 airplanes and helicopters, since the beginning of 2020, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said.

"A total of 776 key samples of advanced and upgraded weapons, including 58 airplanes and helicopters, more than 140 armored combat vehicles, and 510 multirole vehicles have been delivered to the Armed Forces since the beginning of the year," Shoigu said during a Defense Ministry conference call on Tuesday.

Additionally, the strategic missile-carrying submarine Knyaz Vladimir and two logistics vessels have joined the Russian Navy this year, he said.
