ALEPPO (Syria). July 6 (Interfax) - Servicemen of Armenian and Syrian engineering units have cleared of mines over 53,000 square meters in Syria's Aleppo in the past month, representative of the Reconciliation Center for Syria Alexei Polyukhovich.
"About 53,000 square meters were cleared of mines and more than 200 explosive objects were found over one month. All found objects were destroyed and civilians can start working on this land," Polyukhovich said.
Meanwhile, joint mine clearance group commander Gevorg Galastyan said that Syrian and Armenian servicemen cleared of mines a territory of about 500 square meters.
