Iranian ambassador notes absence of conditions to resume stable isotope work at Fordow facility

MOSCOW. July 23 (Interfax) - Conditions required to resume work on stable isotopes at the Fordow facility in Iran are not currently in place, Iranian Ambassador in Moscow Kazem Jalali said in an interview with Interfax.

"This issue is on the agenda of upcoming cooperation between the two countries. However, conditions necessary to start this work are not yet there," the high-ranking Iranian diplomat said.

It became known last December that the Russian Rosatom State Corporation's TVEL fuel company suspended its work at the Fordow facility in Iran. The Iranian embassy to Russia said later that Rosatom plans to resume this work at Fordow after fixing certain technical problems.
