Zelensky arrives in Donbas, inspects repaired bridge in Stanytsia Luhanska

LUHANSK. July 23 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has arrived at a checkpoint in Stanytsia Luhanska on the border with the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR).

An Interfax correspondent at the scene reported that Zelensky is now inspecting a repaired bridge in the Ukraine-controlled area in the presence of Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) representatives, the Special Monitoring Mission of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, and Ukrainian reporters.

On the LPR side, the process is being watched by its JCCC representatives.

It was reported earlier that Zelensky was planning to visit Donbas on Thursday with Swiss President Simonetta Sommaruga.
