KYIV/LUHANSK/DONETSK. July 27 (Interfax) - Ukrainian military units came under fire in Donbas in the early hours of Monday, Commander of the Joint Forces Operation Lieut. Gen. Vladimir Kravchenko said.
There are no casualties, Kravchenko said.
"The situation on the dividing line is stable and under control. Unfortunately, there was an attack by the enemy on the positions of the 36th separate marine infantry brigade at 12:20 a.m.-12:45 a.m. using small arms, anti-tank grenade launchers, and large-caliber machine-guns," Kravchenko told a briefing on Monday.
"There are no casualties on the part of the Joint Forces. Our units are now silent," he said. "The attack that happened last night did not pose a threat to the lives or health of personnel," Kravchenko said.
According to earlier reports, the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics (DPR, LPR) did not register any breaches of the indefinite ceasefire in Donbas.
