DPR reports Ukrainian military attack on self-proclaimed republic's territory

DONETSK/KYIV. July 29 (Interfax) - The Kyiv troops have opened fire on the positions of the militia of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), the DPR office in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) said on Wednesday.

"An attack in the Avdiivka-Yakovlevka sector was registered at 9:40 a.m., small arms are being used," the press service for the DPR office in the JCCC said in a report released on Wednesday.

The Ukrainian troops, for their part, said no attacks were registered in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area over the past 24 hours.

"The situation in the Joint Forces Operation area remains fully under control as of 7:00 a.m., no attacks were registered in the Joint Forces Operation area over the past 24 hours," according to a report posted on the official page of the JFO headquarters on Facebook on Wednesday.

The conflict parties in Donbas began observing the ceasefire at 00:01 a.m. on July 27. In accordance with the agreements, the ceasefire should last until the crisis is fully settled.
