Russia didn't notify Belarus about deployment of private military company troops via its territory - Belarusian Security Council

MINSK. July 29 (Interfax) - Moscow did not notify Minsk about the deployment of the troops from a private military company via the territory of Belarus, it is a very unfortunate situation, Belarusian Security Council State Secretary Andrei Ravkov said.

"If a private military company was deployed somewhere, especially via the territory of Belarus, perhaps, there would be certain explanations of some security services. Because it is a very serious issue. But it happened that [we] did not receive such information from the FSB [Russia's Federal Security Service], the GRU [Russia's Main Intelligence Directorate], or any other agency," the BelTA state news agency cited Ravkov as saying.

He described the situation as "a very unpleasant fact," which has not been confirmed by the Russian Federation.
