MINSK. July 30 (Interfax) - Belarus and Ukraine will take a number of comprehensive measures to reinforce border regimes at jointly guarded border sections, including by increasing the number of border details on duty, Belarusian State Border Committee spokesperson Anton Bychkovsky told Interfax.
"Our approach toward reinforcing the border regimes will be comprehensive. Above all, this implies extra control over people's visits to and presence in the border zone and borderland," Bychkovsky said.
"The heads of the border agencies have agreed on stepping up checks at the checkpoints. Control over persons and the examination of vehicles crossing into Belarus will be tightened," he said.
"The number of border details will be increased along the Ukrainian section on the whole, at the checkpoints, and along the green border," Bychkovsky said.
