NUR-SULTAN. July 30 (Interfax) - The coronavirus situation in the city of Baikonur has improved, Roscosmos representative in Kazakhstan Anatoly Krasnikov said.
"Extra medical personnel sent from Russia is now working there [in Baikonur], and therefore the situation is now improving thanks to that and the medical cargo," Krasnikov told a briefing on Thursday.
The situation in Baikonur "like in the entire Republic of Kazakhstan undoubtedly has certain difficulties," he said.
'The administration and Roscosmos, the Federal Medical-Biological Agency made a well-timed decision. A decision was made to send extra brigades of doctors to help on the site. A decision was made to send to the Baikonur complex extra cargoes, test systems, ventilators, and extra medications," he said.
