MINSK. Aug 18 (Interfax) - The coordination council of the Belarusian opposition sees no possibility of a vote recount in the presidential election.
"We know for sure that part of the ballots has been destroyed. A recount of votes is therefore impossible technically," Maria Kolesnikova, a member of the council, told journalists in Minsk on Tuesday.
The authorities did not offer a vote recount, she said. "On the contrary, they refused any dialogue and in violation of the rules destroyed part of the ballots," Kolesnikova said.
