MOSCOW. Aug 24 (Interfax) - Belarusian law enforcement acted in a reserved manner during the latest protest in Belarus, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, expressing hope that opposition supporters won't provoke law enforcement into harsh actions down the line.
"We can acknowledge an absence of any provocations on the part of protesters. Law enforcement fulfilled their duties in a rather reserved manner," Peskov told journalists on Monday.
"Thank God, the various rallies aren't resulting in unrest," Peskov said. "Therefore, law enforcement isn't having to use harsh measures. Hopefully, any provocations will be avoided or prevented, if necessary," he said.
