Russian and Belarusian General Staff chiefs discuss preparations for joint drills

MOSCOW. Sept 2 (Interfax) - Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov and his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Volfovich discussed bilateral cooperation and the upcoming Slavic Brotherhood military exercise in a telephone call on Wednesday, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

"The Armed Forces General Staff chiefs of Russia and Belarus discussed the state of and prospects for bilateral military cooperation and the preparations for the Slavic Brotherhood joint exercise," the Defense Ministry said.
