Russian intelligence monitoring West's plans with regard to Minsk, in touch with Belarusian counterparts

MOSCOW. Sept 2 (Interfax) - The Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) is thoroughly following the events unfolding in Belarus and the West's plans with regard to that country and is maintaining permanent contact with Belarusian special services, SVR Director Sergei Naryshkin told journalists on Wednesday.

"We are thoroughly monitoring the development of the situation. We remain permanently in touch with Belarusian special services. We are thoroughly monitoring what's happening from the western side, including the designs, plans, and ideas voiced there, and we are informing our counterparts," Naryshkin said.
