Vakulchik becomes state secretary of Belarusian Security Council, Tertel heads up Belarusian KGB

MINSK. Sept 3 (Interfax) - Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko appointed Valery Vakulchik to the post of state secretary of the country's Security Council on Thursday, the Belarusian state-run news agency BelTA said.

Most recently, Vakulchik held the post of chairman of the Belarusian State Security Committee (KGB).

Ivan Tertel, most recently the chairman of the State Control Committee, has been appointed to head the Belarusian KGB, BelTA said on Thursday.
