MOSCOW. Sept 30 (Interfax) - National defense spending in 2021-2023 will exceed 9.6 trillion rubles, under a draft Russian federal three-year budget introduced by the government to the State Duma on Wednesday.
"Budget earmarks in the National Defense section in 2021 will stand at 3,113,247.5 rubles, in 2022 at 3,231,721.8 rubles, and in 2023 at 3,257,484.0 rubles," the document reads.
As a ratio to GDP, that is 2.7%, 2.6% and 2.5%, respectively.
"The share of the National Defense section in the total federal spending will increase to 14.5% in 2021 and 2023 and to 15.1% in 2022 from 13.9% in 2020," the draft budget said.
