YEKATERINBURG. Oct 6 (Interfax) - Russia's air base in Kant, Kyrgyzstan, has been put on high alert due to the aggravated domestic political situation in the country, the Central military district said.
"To prevent any provocation relating for the aggravated situation in the Kyrgyz Republic, increased counter-terrorism measures have been put in place at the Russian Kant air base," the press service said on Tuesday.
The base continues with planned military drills and daily activities in full: the troops are preparing for the 2020 end-of-year test to be conducted by the Central Military District commission, it said.
