Kremlin hopes efforts taken by acting head of Kyrgyz National Security Committee Suvanaliyev help stabilization - Peskov (Part 2)

MOSCOW. Oct 8 (Interfax) - The current situation in Kyrgyzstan looks chaotic, the Kremlin is deeply concerned about such state of affairs and hopes that the efforts taken by acting Chairman of the Kyrgyz National Security Committee Omurbek Suvanaliyev will help achieve stabilization, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday.

"Indeed, we are deeply concerned about the unfolding situation," Peskov told the press.

Kyrgyzstan is Russia's partner, including in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the CIS, Peskov said.

In his words, "this is a messy and chaotic situation."

"Hopefully, the efforts taken by acting [deputy secretary] of the Security Council and chairman of the National Security Committee will help stabilize the situation," Peskov said.

As to how Moscow sees the situation in Kyrgyzstan, Peskov said, "You should ask people on the ground what exactly is going on there."
