BISHKEK. Oct 9 (Interfax) - Kyrgyz law enforcement and security chiefs held a meeting chaired by the acting secretary of the national Security Council, law enforcement and security coordinator Omurbek Suvanaliyev, urging all political forces to begin talks to restore law and stability in the republic, the Kyrgyz State Committee for National Security said.
"Kyrgyz law enforcement agencies, security services and Armed Forces have urged all national political forces, in the interest of every Kyrgyzstani, to sit down at the negotiating table and to restore law and social stability in this country," the attendees said in a resolution released by the Security Committee's press service on Thursday.
The security chiefs warned that any attempt at socio-political destabilization "on the part of destructively-minded forces, including provocations on inter-regional and inter-ethnic grounds," will be "suppressed quickly and harshly."
