Kyrgyz president relieves head of National Security Committee of his duties

BISHKEK. Oct 9 (Interfax) - Kyrgyz President Sooronbai Jeenbekov has signed a decree relieving Orozbek Opumbayev of his duties as chairman of the State Committee for National Security, the presidential press service said on Friday.

"President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov has signed a decree relieving Orozbek Opumbayev of his post as chairman of the State Committee for National Security," it said.

Jeenbekov earlier relieved the country's government of its duties.
