Yerevan confirms Armenian FM to attend consultations in Moscow on Oct 9

YEREVAN. Oct 9 (Interfax) - Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan will visit Moscow for consultations with his Russian and Azerbaijani counterparts, Armenian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Anna Naghdalyan said on Facebook.

In accordance with the Russian president's appeal, "the agenda will focus exclusively on cessation of hostilities, humanitarian issues of exchanging bodies and prisoners of war," Naghdalyan said.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said earlier that the Armenia and Azerbaijan had confirmed their readiness to send their representatives to consultations in Moscow on Friday.

"Baku and Yerevan have confirmed their attendance at the consultations in Moscow. Active preparations are under way," Zakharova said.

The Kremlin said on Thursday that Russian President Vladimir Putin had invited the Azerbaijani and Armenian foreign ministers to Moscow for consultations.
