MOSCOW. Oct 9 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin is discussing the situation near Russia's borders, including in the South Caucasus, with the Russian Security Council members.
"Let's discuss the situation that is taking place right near our borders, including in the South Caucasus," Putin said while opening a Russian Security Council meeting on Friday.
The president also proposed discussing, "as planned", the situation in Russia's Far East and steps to protect Russia's interests in the Far Eastern region and in Southeast Asia.
