MOSCOW. Oct 15 (Interfax) - The European Union's illegitimate sanctions against Russia will have serious consequences for the relationship between Moscow and Brussels, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko said in a conversation with the European External Action Service Secretary General Helga Schmid.
The meeting was held in Brussels on Thursday, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement published on its website.
"There was substantive discussion of the current state of relations between Russia and the EU. It was stressed that the EU's confrontational line, including the latest illegitimate sanctions, will have serious consequences," the statement said.
The parties also exchanged views on a number of pressing international issues, it said.
