Russia not shipping weapons to Armenia, Yerevan smuggling them in - Aliyev

BAKU. Oct 16 (Interfax) - Armenia is not officially importing weapons, but is smuggling them in, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said.

Iran, Georgia, and Russia are not officially shipping weapons to Armenia, Aliyev said in an interview with Turkish television channel A Haber.

"We have no information that weapons have been supplied from Iran to Armenia. On the contrary, Iran and Georgia have closed their airspace and land borders to military shipments to Armenia. According to the information we have, weapons have been smuggled into Armenia on board passenger and cargo planes," Aliyev said.
