GELENDZHIK. Oct 16 (Interfax) - JSC Ural Works of Civil Aviation (UWCA) expects to export no less than 200 L-410 aircraft in the coming years, the company's CEO Vadim Badekha said during the Hydroaviasalon 2020 forum in Gelendzhik.
"We consider the plane's market potential to be fairly serious in this form. On the external market, we plan to sell no less than 200 aircraft in the coming years, including around 70 on floats. The domestic market is fairly stable too - no less than 120 planes," Badekha said.
"Next year, we plan to move from the signed memorandums to their implementation. As of today, we've signed memorandums with all countries. In that respect, this is going to be a very large-scale export product," he said.
Badekha said that Kazakhstan had been the company's first foreign client.
The 19-seat L-410 was developed by the Czechoslovak plant Let Kunovice, now Czech Republic-based Aircraft Industries, owned by UWCA. Since 2017, the plane's production has been localized at the Ural Works of Civil Aviation, which is controlled by NK Bank owner Viktor Grigoryev.
