BAKU/YEREVAN. Oct 19 (Interfax) - Azerbaijani air defense forces have shot down a Sukhoi Su-25 attack plane of the Armenian Air Force, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said.
The Armenian Defense Ministry, in turn, has denied this claim.
"On October 18, at 12:30 [p.m.], the Air Defense Units of Azerbaijan shot down another Su-25 attack aircraft of the Armenian armed forces which was attempting to inflict airstrikes on the positions of the Azerbaijan Army in the Jabrayil direction," the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said.
Armenian Defense Ministry press secretary Shushan Stepanyan, in turn, told Interfax that "the information [about the destruction of an Armenian Su-25] is not true."
