MOSCOW. Oct 21 (Interfax) - The Electron-BM oxygen supply system onboard the International Space Station (ISS) has broken down again, and the ISS crewmembers had to dismantle it for a repair, the ISS crew said in the ongoing talks with the Mission Control Center.
Russian cosmonaut Sergei Ryzhikov said there are some problems with the operation of this system during the ongoing talks with the Mission Control Center aired by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). According to ground specialists' directives, the ISS crewmembers will have to remove the casing of the oxygen supply system and examine it manually.
"It (Electron-BM) will be put on the blowdown mode from the Earth at 3:40 a.m.," a spokesman of the Mission Control Center said.
