Russian space industry to be independent of import by 2025 - Rogozin

MOSCOW. Oct 22 (Interfax) - Roscosmos plans to achieve practically full import independence by 2025, Roscosmos head Dmitry Rogozin said.

"We give a lot of attention to import independence issues in our space activities. We plan to achieve practically full independence in that area by 2025," Rogozin said in a report at a meeting in Murmansk, chaired by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

Yury Koptev, chairman of the Scientific and Technical Council of the state corporation Rostec, earlier said French companies had refused to supply to Roscosmos "traveling-wave tube amplifiers."

Koptev said Rostec will organize the production of these components at its enterprise in Saratov.
