Russia still sees no alternative to peaceful settlement in Nagorno-Karabakh - Peskov

MOSCOW. Oct 22 (Interfax) - Russia remains convinced that the Nagorno-Karabakh problem can be solved only peacefully and is doing all it can to encourage political and diplomatic approaches to this situation, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.

"Russia has done and is continuing to do all it can to turn the current situation onto a political and diplomatic track. We remain convinced that there is no alternative to a peaceful solution to this problem," Peskov told reporters.

When asked to comment on remarks made by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan that political and diplomatic methods are not working in this situation, Peskov said that "we intend to continue making every effort to secure a peaceful solution to this conflict."
