Azerbaijan takes border with Iran under full control - Aliyev (Part 2)

BAKU. Oct 22 (Interfax) - Azerbaijani forces have taken full control over Azerbaijan's border with Iran after liberating the village of Agband in the Zangilan district, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev wrote on Twitter on Thursday.

He also announced the liberation of 21 populated areas in the Fuzuli, Jabrayil, and Zangilan districts.

"The Azerbaijani army has liberated from occupation the villages of Mollavali, Yuxari Rafidinli, and Asagi Rafidinli in the Fuzuli district and the villages of Sirik, Sixlar, Mastalibeyli, and Darzili in the Jabrayil district," Aliyev wrote on Twitter.

Azerbaijani forces have also liberated 14 communities in the Zangilan district, including Kolluqislaq, Malatkesin, Kand Zengilan, Genlik, Valiqulubayli, Qaradara, Copadara, Tatar, Tiri, Amirxanli, Qarqulu, Bartaz, Dallakli, and Agband, he said.

Azerbaijan has claimed that its Armed Forces have liberated 142 populated areas in Nagorno-Karabakh and the districts adjacent to it, including the cities of Jabrayil, Fuzuli, and Zangilan in the southern part of this territory, since September 27.
