MOSCOW. Oct 22 (Interfax) - There has been no decision to spend less on the Russian Defense Ministry or any other national security entities, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"We're planning no decisions yet. We're not planning to save on spending or to extend any kinds of deadlines. This is just another proposal from the Finance Ministry. It hasn't even reached me yet. These are all discussions taking place inside government agencies and between them," Putin said during an annual session of the Valdai international discussion club on Thursday.
"When taking final decisions, I will certainly be based on an actual situation in the economy, a real situation in personal incomes, including those of people employed in law enforcement, military entities, the military organization of the state, the difference between their incomes and those in the civilian sector, so to prevent any skew in the labor market. There are many factors to this," he said.
