MOSCOW. Oct 22 (Interfax) - Moscow does not mind considering the factor of new hypersonic weapon systems at talks with Washington on prolonging the New START treaty, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"When we signed it and were in talks on these issues, we took all these problems into account. The only thing left unaccounted is what has emerged in Russia in response to the United States' withdrawal from the treaty on anti-missile defense. More specifically, it is our advanced high-precision hypersonic weapon systems... And they tell us: "We hear you now have this, we don't have this yet, this should be considered. We don't mind, let's take this into account, with regard to both the quantity of vehicles and the quantity of warheads. We don't mind at all," Putin said when speaking at a plenary session of the Valdai international discussion club on Thursday.
