MOSCOW. Oct 22 (Interfax) - Russia is ready to work with the United States in searching for solutions to disputed issues relating to the New START (Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty) after its extension by a year without preconditions.
"What choice do we have? The treaty is expiring in February and what I offered is a very simple thing, and it is lying on the surface. Nothing will happen if we extend this treaty by a year without preconditions of any kind, and we will work consistently on all issues that concern both us and the Americans," Putin said during a plenary session at the Valdai Discussion Club on Thursday.
"We will work together. And will search for a solution," the Russian president said.
