Nearly 600 people detained during protests in Belarus on Mon - Interior Ministry

MINSK. Oct 27 (Interfax) - More than 580 people were detained during protests in Belarus on Monday, the Belarusian Interior Ministry said on Tuesday.

"A total of 581 people (including 486 in Minsk) were detained for violating the laws on mass events yesterday. Until the courts hear their administrative cases, 434 people have been placed at detention centers," the Interior Ministry said in a statement on its official website.
