Armenians to deliver counterstrike in Nagorno-Karabakh 'at the right time' - Pashinyan

YEREVAN. Oct 28 (Interfax) - There are enough weapons in the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh republic for resistance, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said.

"The people of Artsakh [the Armenian name for Nagorno-Karabakh] and all Armenians will fight to a finish, [...] and a counterstrike delivered at the right time will have a devastating effect on the enemy," Pashinyan said in an address to the nation on Tuesday.

"Azerbaijan set itself the goal of seizing Artsakh a month ago, but Artsakh, however wounded, is still standing on its feet," he said.

Nagorno-Karabakh possesses enough weapons and military capability, Pashinyan said. "We have a lot of enemies around the world, but we also have a lot of friends who have stood and will stand by us," he said.

Azerbaijan's refusal to make reciprocal concessions "has legitimized our right to fight for our rights and freedom," Pashinyan said.

"This war has significantly changed the international community's attitude toward the issue of Karabakh. Global actors [...] have declared Azerbaijan and Turkey to be aggressors," Pashinyan said.
