YEREVAN. Oct 28 (Interfax) - Azerbaijan and Turkey intend to cut a "land corridor" between their two countries through the southern regions of Armenia, chief advisor to the Armenian prime minister Vagharshak Harutyunyan told Interfax on Wednesday.
"Intelligence data indicates that the central goal of Turkey and Azerbaijan is to cut off the border of Artsakh [Armenian name for Nagorno-Karabakh] and Iran, reach the state border of Armenia, and cut a corridor through to Nakhchivan," Harutyunyan said.
"In the future, this could trigger a new round of destabilization in the South Caucasus and Central Asia," he said.
