YEREVAN/BAKU. Oct 29 (Interfax) - The Azerbaijani Armed Forces delivered a missile strike on Stepanakert, the capital of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), overnight, the NKR emergency situations committee said.
"Stepanakert came under missile attack last night. The preliminary information available indicates that there were no injuries and fatalities," it said.
The NKR Defense Ministry, in turn, said that its air defense forces have destroyed a Bayraktar Turkish unmanned combat aerial vehicle.
The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry, for its part, said that residential areas along the frontline and positions of Azerbaijan's army in different sectors of the frontline came under fire throughout the day on October 28 and overnight into October 29.
"The combat operations continued mainly in the Khojavend, Fizuli, and Gubadli directions of the front. The enemy's attempts to attack were resolutely prevented," the Azerbaijani ministry said.
"During the day and at nighttime, a large number of enemy forces, two T-72 tanks, two BM-21 Grad multiple launch rocket systems, 14 different types of howitzers, several strongholds, and six auto vehicles in different directions of the front were destroyed and wrecked," it said.
