YEREVAN. Oct 30 (Interfax) - The first female company is being trained to fight against the Azerbaijani forces in Nagorno-Karabakh, Armenian Defense Ministry spokesman Artsrun Hovhannisyan said on Friday.
"The first female company is being trained," Hovhannisyan said on Facebook and published some photos.
Anna Akopyan, the spouse of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, said earlier she was set to go to the Karabakh conflict zone.
"A unit of 13 women, including me, is preparing for training. A few days later, we will be deployed to protect the borders of our fatherland. We cannot give in either our fatherland or our dignity to the enemy," Akopyan said on Facebook on October 26.
