DUSHANBE. Nov 2 (Interfax) - Tajikistani President Emomali Rahmon signed a decree pardoning 378 convicts, his press service said on Friday evening.
"By his decree 'On pardoning the persons sentenced to imprisonment' the president of Tajikistan pardoned 378 people on the grounds of humanity, compassion, care for the family, children and adolescents, and relieved them of the remainder of their sentences," the statement said.
Rahmon, who on October 11 was re-elected as president for the fifth time, was sworn in Dushanbe earlier on Friday.
