Azerbaijan ready to end hostilities if Armenia pledges to pull forces from Nagorno-Karabakh - Azerbaijani president (Part 2)

BAKU. Nov 2 (Interfax) - Azerbaijan is ready to end the hostilities if Armenia pledges to pull its forces out of Nagorno-Karabakh, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said.

"I have said this before, and I'll repeat it once again: if Armenia stops the hostilities today, demonstrates a constructive stance at the negotiating table, and assumes an obligation to pull its forces out of the occupied territories, we will be ready to stop," Aliyev said at a meeting with Secretary General of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States (also known as the Turkic Council, CCTSS) Baghdad Amreyev in Baku.

The Karabakh conflict should be put onto a political track, and Baku is ready to do so, Aliyev said.

"Hopefully, the bitter defeat of Armenia will prompt them to seriously reflect on the situation and to make that decision," he said.
