BAKU. Nov 6 (Interfax) - An Armenian Armed Forces ammunition depot near Khankendi (Stepanakert) in Nagorno-Karabakh has blown up, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said on Friday.
"An explosion of ammunition loaded into trucks from the depot near Khankendi caused a strong fire. The flames quickly spread onto the depot, resulting in a massive explosion," it said.
The unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic's (NKR) Emergency Situations Committee had reported earlier on Friday that Azerbaijani forces had been shelling Stepanakert with cluster munitions. The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry denied this.
