MOSCOW. Nov 13 (Interfax) - Rustam Muradov, commander of the Russian peacekeeping mission in Nagorno-Karabakh, discussed security of the Russian service members and the local civilian population at a meeting with Azerbaijan's military leadership in Baku on Thursday, a source with the staff of the Russian peacekeeping forces said.
"The negotiators discussed the parameters and procedure of the deployment of the peacekeeping contingent to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone, as well as ways to ensure security of the Russian service members and civilians," he said.
The leadership of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry and its General Staff were present at the meeting.
The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry had earlier made an official statement on this meeting.
Azerbaijani Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov discussed the organization and performance of the peacekeeping mission in Nagorno-Karabakh with Muradov, it said.
