Russian delegation to take part in OPCW conference in The Hague

MOSCOW. Nov 13 (Interfax) - The Hague will host the next session of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) Conference of the States Parties on November 30 - December 4, and Russian Deputy Industry and Trade Minister Oleg Ryazantsev will head the Russian delegation to the session.

As follows from a Russian government directive published on the official database of legal information, the delegation will also include head of the Russian Radiological, Chemical, and Biological Defense Troops Igor Kirillov and a number of Foreign Ministry officials, among them Russia's Permanent Representative to the OPCW Alexander Shulgin.

The conference will be held amid the West's allegations that Russia is responsible for poisoning opposition activist Alexei Navalny using a Novichok-type nerve agent.
