Russian, Iranian FMs to discuss Karabakh, JCPOA in Moscow on Nov 23 (Part 2)

MOSCOW. Nov 19 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will meet with his Iranian counterpart Javad Zarif in Moscow on November 23 to discuss the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh and the developments surrounding the Iranian nuclear program, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said.

"The Iranian foreign minister will pay another working visit to Moscow on November 23; negotiations with the Russian foreign minister will be held in its course," Zakharova said at a press briefing on Thursday.

"There are plans to continue the exchange of views on a number of pressing global affairs, including the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh and the developments surrounding the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action," she said.

The sides will also discuss the situation in Syria and the Gulf region, and the bilateral agenda, including trade and economic relations, Zakharova said.

"Russian-Iranian relations continue to develop actively, which is proven by the intensive, trust-based dialogue maintained on the highest level," she said.
