MOSCOW. Nov 20 (Interfax) - The supply of weapons and equipment to the Russian Armed Forces grew 11% year-on-year, head of the Russian National Defense Control Center Col. Gen. Mikhail Mizintsev said at a conference on Friday.

"The efficient cooperation with the Industry and Trade Ministry, Rospotrebnadzor, and defense industry enterprises not only ensured the smooth operation of plants under the difficult epidemiological conditions but also increased by 11% the amount of weapons and military and special hardware delivered to forces since the previous year," Mizintsev said.

"As a result of close interagency cooperation, national shipyards laid keels, launched, and delivered 35 submarines to the Navy this year, which increased the number of combatable ships 1.3 times, compared to 2019," he said.

"The increased combat potential of the Russian Navy was demonstrated during the Navy Day parade in St. Petersburg and the parades held at the main fleet bases.
